Run Ryan Run!

Ryan ran his first half-marathon today! He and a few other guys from church ran in the Laguna Hills Half Marathon. He said that at mile 10 his legs got a bit tired, but he continued to push through! His goal was to come in under two hours and he ended up with a time of 1:52! Way to go! We are all proud of our hot running dad and husband!
Here is a shot that a Josh took of Ryan at the end of the race:

Braces are off!

Mackenzie got her braces off about a month ago (I have been a little slow at updating)! She wore them from August 2007 to April 2009. Considering she had a class 3 underbite things went very quickly! She now wears a clear retainer (that also doubles as a teeth whiting tray if needed)! Here are some before and after pictures:
Before the braces: First day of braces:

After:
She also has a new hairstyle (bangs)! She is such a beautiful girl with a beautiful smile!
Thanks Dr. Brady!

Rockies Baseball

Baseball season began back in February. Trevor was on the Rockies this year and was lucky enough to have his Dad be the Manager! He played coach pitch and did a great job! His favorite positions were first base, third base and short stop. His least favorite was outfield! Since Ryan was the Manager we were lucky to have six boys from church on his team which made for a fun time for all us mom's watching!
Notice who is pitching???

We were not found of our all white uniforms- thank heavens they were made of polyester so all those stains washed out pretty easy!

Blog 2 Print

Thanks to Colleen I just uploaded my 2008 blog to a book. I used http://blog2print.com/. I can already tell I am not going to like the book as much as the one I did for 2007 with blurb.com, but since blurb did not provide blogger service this year this is the next best thing. The bonus is that it took me 30 minutes to get the entire book done (alot less than the two months it took me last year)! The downfall is that I could not personalize the pages. Oh well, I am just glad to have it put into a book for years to come!

FYI "cutest blog on the block" will be coming out with a blog to book application soon which should be great. I was just not patient enough to wait. Maybe I will use them next year....

HAIRSPRAY

During the past few weeks Mackenzie and Madalyn have performed in two seperate productions of "Hairspray". Being in two different groups meant lots of driving, but in the end it was worth it. Hairspray is such a fun musical and the girls both did a great job! We feel so blessed to have a studio with great producers in our area! It was another positive experience for the girls!!

Here are some shots of Mackenzie's production. She is in the elite class. It has been fun watching the girls in her class get better and better with every production. I am amazed at the growth in their singning, dancing and acting!

Along with being a counsel girl she was also Mrs. Pinky

Madalyn had two friends from school and church in her production. She had so much fun with it (eventhough she did not like her dress)! We thought her dress was cute, but she DID NOT! However in the picture below she sure does a great job showing it off!!!

Madalyn was a counsel member and also an announcer for some of the commercials.

Zoomars

At preschool last month the kids were learning about farm animals so at the end of the unit we got together and took the kids to a local petting zoo in San Juan Capistrano. There were ginnea pigs, rabbits, horses, turtles, imus, geese, lamas, goats (including one that was only 2 weeks old), birds and a fun park to play at.
Not all the kids were able to go, but those who did had a great time! Below is a picture of a few of the kids with Mrs. Lloyd (their teacher): Feeding the bunnies
