I'm A Blonde

Meredith decided to participate in the competition dance team again this year.  This is an exciting year because for the first time ever the Ladera Ranch Dance Academy decided to do a production number!  This is a number that involved all dance team members from all age groups.  It is a country western theme and the girls have had do much fun!

Her individual dance team performed to "I'm A Blonde".  Thus the reason for the not so attractive blonde wigs.  Despite the wigs the girls have had fun and are loving competitions!

Mormal 2014

Mormon + Prom= Mormal!

This years Mormal was held at the RSM Bell Tower.  This is a night that my girls were looking forward to.  Yes my girls go to their high school dances, but Mormal is in an environment that is so much more comfortable for them.  Everyone is dressed modestly, the music and language is clean and the dancing is appropriate.  It is a night to be influenced by the positive!

Madalyn was asked by a boy she has known for years named Max Esplin.  He is a great guy and treated her really good at the dance.

Best looking couple award!

Mackenzie was set up on a blind date for Mormal with a boy and a bunch of people she did not know.  Luckily she is an extrovert and can have fun with anyone!  Her date (Philip) was really nice.

"Blind date"

One of the hard parts of having two girls one year apart in school and dating age is when there is a formal dance they each have their own friends to go with.  That leaves me running all over town trying to get pictures of them with their dates and groups.  It can be a struggle.  It also means that neither girl is ready at the same time so I do not get any pictures of them together.  So I was so happy to receive a text from Luke Blais...he took a picture of the girls together at the dance that night!  I loved seeing their beautiful faces.  I know I am bias, but I am so blessed to have two beautiful teenage daughters inside and out!

Marathon Man

Ryan had to miss Roadshow because he decided to run another Marathon!  He drove out to Phoenix for this one.  He stayed with Tyler Beeney while there and Tyler was a great host!
The Marathon was nice and flat, but around mile 19 Ryan got a case of an upset stomach.  That  and the rain slowed him down a bit, but he had a great time and ended with a time of 4:18.  He was on schedule for a faster run, but you can only go so fast when you are getting sick on the side of the road!!!

"Ear buds and Aspercreme"Roadshow 2014

"Earbuds and Aspercreme" was the title of our Ward's roadshow this year.  There were teenagers, celebrities, old people and robots in it.  We had a whole mix!  Madalyn played the part of "Kitty Deeley", Mackenzie the rebellious teenager and Trevor an old man.  This was Trevor's first Roadshow and he loved it!
