Happy Birthday Madalyn!

It is hard to believe it has been ten years since our beautiful baby girl Madalyn was born. I still remember her being the prettiest baby in the nursery. All the nurses would come by my hospital room to check her out! They even made a bow out of pink cloth and stuck it to her head with some ointment!
We celebrated her birthday with a Bunco party- how fun to see 16 girls playing, chatting, and snacking! Check out the dice cakes made by a friend of mine! Tomorrow is the family party and we will be having my homemake chocolate eclairs for dessert- YUM!!

Congratulations Mackenzie!!!

Sorry for the lack in posting this month- and it has been busy with singers company, birthdays, and graduations from Elementary school! Below is a picture of Madalyn and her (not too sore on your eyes) 4th grade teacher! She had a great year in his class- he ROCKS!!!!
Here is a picture of Mackenzie at her 5th grade graduation. We are so proud of the progress she made in elementary school and are excited for the new adventures in middle school! Mackenzie earned a number of awards in academic and behavior excellence! Some of her certificates are even signed by President George W. Bush!! Good job Mackenzie in always striving to reach your full potential- good luck in Middle School!!!

Finding Nemo

Last week my step-dad won tickets for an exclusive sneek peek to the new Finding Nemo ride at Disneyland. Unfortunately for him (but fortunately for us) he had a doctors appointment and could not go. So....we got the opportunity to use the tickets in his place- thanks Jim!!
So, the submarines are the same as they were when we were kids, but with a new paint job. The ride is pretty long (about 15 minutes), the animation was cool, and the kids enjoyed it. We had to wait about 5 minutes to get on so all in all it was worth it. However, I would not wait an hour to ride the ride unless you or your kid is madly in love with the Finding Nemo movie!

Here is the "EXCLUSIVE" sign- however later we noticed anyone with an annual pass was able to go on the ride!

This is the submarine we were on "SCOUT".

We were also able to go on the new Pirates Island (aka Tom Sawyers Island). The girls thought it was cool running into Captain Jack Sparrow while we were over there. It took awhile for Trevor to warm up to the idea of standing anywere near him! You would never guess it by the look on his face in this picture!

Rub a Dub Dub Two Beauties in the Tub!

In honor of Grandma Jones (who is having surgery tomorrow) I thought I would post a fun picture of Meredith and "Brookie". Maybe these pictures will brighten her day if she is able to get internet access in the hospital.
A couple of weeks ago Robyn and her kids came and spent the day with us. The kids all had such a good time playing. In fact, they were having so much fun they did not want to stop playing to go to McDonalds for lunch- that is rare!! We will definetly have to do this again!

Dress up time!

So I was looking as some old photo's today and ran across this one of Trevor and Meredith- no it was not Halloween! They just love to play dress up and were so "proud" of the great outfits they had on! I thought is was just soo cute so I had to share them with you!

I added another picture fully clothed that I also thought was cute. They really could be twins! Can you tell that they really admire one another?!?

4th grade Business Day!

Madalyn and her friend Sarah were in charge of writing a business plan and carrying it out at school. They decided to sell Hawaiian bread, banana bars, cinnamon rolls, and lemonade! Fun combination !!!!! It was a fun day as others in her class had to do the same thing so they could have a forum to sell all their different items. The kids used the "scholar dollars" they earned during the year (they get these as a reward at school). It was great to see all the creative minds at work and all the great things they all thought of to sell- homemade CD's, pencil tops, hot chocolate, ice cream, flower pens, manicures, etc.
Madalyn had a alot of fun designing her poster and working with Sarah on this project! We are so proud of her!
