Happy 12th Birthday Madalyn!

Today is Madalyn's 12th birthday. She got to start her time in Young Woman's by attending girls camp on her birthday! Here she is blowing out her candle at 6:00 a.m.: Madalyn has brought so many smiles and laughter into our home! We will miss you while you are at girls camp! Side note- she even looks good at 6:00 a.m. straight out of bed!
Have fun in Mammoth! See you on Saturday in Arizona!

Lakewood High School Class of 2009

Clinton Lee Shipp aka SCOOTER graduated from Lakewood High School on June 11,2009! It was so fun to go back to our alma mater- not much has changed! Scooter's graduation was at Vets Stadium in Long Beach so we were able to walk over from my mom's house.

Here is his cheering crowd:
The handsome graduate himself:

The people who made it possible:
Scooter and his mom (thanks for letting me take this Deeanna):

The "cousins" (he fits right in with my kids!):

We are all so proud of you Scoots!

End of the school year craziness!!!

It is definetly June as we have been so busy with end of the year performances, parties, awards that we are going crazy! Here is a sneak peak of a few of the things we did the past two weeks:

Meredith's three Singers Company performances (pictured with Grandpa Jones, Grandma Wright and Grandpa Wright): Mackenzie was voted "Most likely to perform on Broadway" by her choir peers:
Here are Mackenzie and Madalyn with their choir teacher Ms. Tarleton. Kuddo's to Ms. T for all the dedication she puts into her job! She also teaches Trevor's music (1-3 grade) and the High School Choir. She is so busy, yet is able to put herself 100% into each group! Thanks for everything!!!
( P.s.- Mackenzie still looks more like your daughter than mine!)

No, my children do not normally dress like this! They sang a medley of 60's and 80's songs so they are dressing the part.
Madalyn with a group of girlfriends after their last performance:

Trevor just before his 1st grade concert:

Three more parties, our anniversary, Father's Day, girls camp and Madalyn's birthday to go......
is it summer yet???

Singers Company

Meredith participates in a group called Singers Company. A friend from church, Katie Parker, started this group five years ago here in Ladera. It is a singing and dancing group. All my girls have participated in it over time. Mackenzie has been one of Katie's assistants for the past few years.
This semester the theme was "50's". It is probably my favorite so far as I love that era of music! The girls all looked so cute and sang wonderfully! Most of all they had a GREAT time! Meredith is striking a pose!

It is 65 degrees and my kids want to do this....

Let me preface this by saying that eventhough it was a beautiful day out yesterday it was still a bit chilly- especially when the wind would blow. So that being said....my kids had a strong desire to go play in the water yesterday...mind you we have a pool and jacuzzi that can be heated up for their enjoyment. They did not want to go in the nice warm water. They wanted to do this instead......

Who knew a $5.00 slip n slide that is a few years old could provide so much entertainment!
