St George Sightseeing

We took the two younger kids with us to watch Ryan run the St. George Marathon (more on that in the next post).  The night before the marathon we did some sight seeing.  We took the kids to the Tabernacle where they got to take a tour and recite an Article of Faith at the pulpit.  The sweet Sister that gave us the tour is a beautiful musician!  She played the Organ...and the volume was all the way up!  It was so loud, but beautiful.

When we first entered the Tabernacle she and her husband were on the piano singing together.  It was a sweet sight.  She has been put incharge of a Christmas concert with the Sisters and Elders serving in St. George.  I wish we were going to be there because I am sure it is going to be a great concert!

They loved playing on this old fire engine outside of The Pizza/Pasta Factory

I fell in love with a consignment shop across the street...Urban Designs.  They had the cutest stuff!  I especially LOVED the letters carved out of books!

The next day, while Ryan was resting from the Marathon I took the kids to Brigham Young's home.  I always love this tour and all the fruit and nut trees that are on the property!

While in St. George we also had the mandatory Iceberg shake and breadsticks from the Pizza Port...yum!
