Too HOT!!!

California is known for its beautiful mild climate.  However this past weekend was not one of those days!  The temperature was 108 degrees and the humidity level was also high!  Not fun for us spoiled Californians!!  I took a picture of the temperature in my car because I thought it could not get any hotter, but it got 1 degree higher!  

Because of the "extreme" heat football was cancelled which gave us a Saturday off!  We took advantage of it!

 I tried my first "Bowl of Heaven".  It is an Acai' bowl topped with coconut, flax seed, strawberries and honey.  So unbelieveably good!!!!!

 Ryan took the kids to Devilish Donuts where they have a variety of specialty donuts.  Some of them are:  Nutella, strawberry and whip cream, peanut butter frosting with toffee, smores, pina colada, coconut cream, maple and bacon.  I could go on and on....

Then the girls and I went shopping for some family picture clothing...can you guess what on of the accent colors are??

We ended the day at T Street in San Clemente at our Ward Beach Party.  Ryan was incharge of it this year.  He did a great job cooking up those hot dogs!!  The weather at the beach was still in the 90's!  The water temperature was perfect for a hot day and the waves were great!  Trevor got in the "green room"  which has been his goal since he started surfing.  The disclaimer is that he got in the green room with a boogie board because the waves were a bit too big for a beginner surfer!  There was a great turn out of people and it was a fun time visiting with everyone!

We ended the day with this beautiful sunset!  

I would say it was a perfect day!
